Like most electronic equipment, GPS sets are given ever more features. Some are easy to use, but need more knowledge to use them effectively and know how to avoid the pitfalls.
Vessel Lights & Buoys
Collision Regs, Vessel Lights and Buoys. All essential knowledge for small-craft navigation. This package offers a combination of tutorials, Video Clips and Simulators to help you learn and remember these vital skills..
Why should you use simulators?
Everyone learns by their mistakes. There are two ways to learn correct operation of marine equipment – the hard way or the easy way.
You can wait for a situation to arise and hope that you can cope with it without serious consequences, or you can use a purpose designed simulator to create any situation at will, and learn to handle it in complete safety. Simulators can also allow refresher training to boost the value of any course which you may attend.
LightMaster has been creating simulators for small-craft training for 15 years, making effective practice available at affordable prices. Their simulators are used in many sea schools and are also available for home study.
In addition to the range of PC programs on offer, we also keep selected books which complement the software.
Books cannot rival the power of animations and simulations available in the software, but are much more comfortable to read when more text is required, and can be used anywhere.
